Cleaning the Water Pump

A number of years ago, we had our water pump clogged with a form of aluminum oxide (Thank you Larry S.) due to not filtering out the chlorine in the water during fill. We now use a filter to remove the chlorine during water fill and this problem has gone away. These photos show the amount of crystals that built up in the water pump. Placing an inline filter is also a good idea before the pump to catch these as well.
