Overall view of the dismantled Nav Station. The new radio panel is on top with space for the VHF and SSB radios. The DC main panel is open on the right. The instrument panel goes on the left. Behind it we're mounting two solar controllers in the white area and you can almost see the AIS650 module mounted low inside on the right. Also behind the panel but out of sight to the left is the WiFi box (WLN2net) for the NMEA 2000 backbone. This will give us a wireless connection for AIS and navigation data to our mini Mac computer and iPads. The new DC sub panel will be mounted on the right side of the new instrument panel and gives us 8 new breakers. Five will be taken right away for instruments. This leaves 3 on this panel but also opens up 3 more on the main panel. If we need more DC breakers there's still room for a larger panel. I just didn't see the need at this time.
