After several years "commuter cruising" the Sea of Cortez, we crossed the Pacific in 2007 on Far Niente, our IP420

In 2001-2002 we commissioned Island Spirit and documented all the systems as they were going in. At this web site we show how we REMOVED THE HELM and replaced the helm with the new (then) Edson CD-I below decks system. We hired Rob Glebe for 10 weeks, 40 hrs/week to do this job! We did it all al once. Enjoy the photos.A

Carol and Bill went to dinner on their birthday in 1989 and have been together ever since. They married in 1993. For their tenth anniversary, they retired, sailed across the Great Lakes, out the St. Lawrence to Nova Scotia, down the East Coast, and on to Trinidad, a 6000 nautical mile trip. They are now sailing around in the Eastern Caribbean.
