The controversial weed shoe has finally been identified by Bill Shea (Renascent IP32, Portland, Maine). It was presented to Norm Pierce and Tom Broome at the Pierce Maine Rendezvous on August 9, 2003. This should settle the issue of what constitutes a weed shoe, skeg, etc.
