Quintessential Mini Rendezvous?
Dear Packeteers and especially Minivous friends,
On December 8 2005 Larking About dropped the hook in Great Harbor Jost Van Dyke to clear in to the BVI's, having been on a lark in the USVI. Tom and Linda O'Connell on IP40 'Surprise' arrived soon after (truly a surprise and a most pleasant one) and we promptly declared this to be THE 'minivous' of 2005. At about 2100 Zulu we gathered aboard Surprise, glasses were raised and notes swapped of our respective ocean passages South from Spring Cove Marina, Rock Hall MD to the Caribbean.
A rainshower came - always welcome to wash down and cool the decks - and soon passed, leaving Larking About, anchored some 250 feet away, wearing an extraordinary adornment: Linda grabbed the camera, and here is her once in a lifetime shot!
