New teak helm seat for IP27-33. After 20+ years s/v Panther needed a new helm seat so I built one out of a stock teak board I had in the garage. I reused the cross bars from the old seat and used thicker teak stock on the seat top. I routed the outside with a 3/8 router bit and inside with a 1/8 round router bit. I'm in the process of putting 3 coats of natural teak cetol and a gloss coat or 2.

I did this after work a little at a time over a few weeks. Total about 6hrs labor and a few tools. I wasn't keeping track of every minute but it came out just as I hoped. A good do it yourself project if you need a new helm seat.

Good luck.
