Thru-hull Improvement

These photos show how I replaced a dealer (not factory) thru-hull installation. The dealer had installed a Marelon flanged 3/4" seacock for the air-conditioning raw water intake which was left "floating" above the flanged locknut; not secured at its base other than by the threads of the thru-hull. After an exuberant crewmember broke off the plastic handle the seacock needed to be replaced. I prefer the bronze seacock secured to a solid base.
