Installation of Single Line Third Reef

Spindrift has a fully battened main - but we found it would be more comfortable in winds 30 knots plus to have a third reef - just in case. The diagram shows how it was designed and the pictures hopefully make it clear. The key problems were lack of base plates at base of mast and under organizers to take additional blocks, plus the limited entry point into the cockpit area for extra lines.
