Miami to Marathon Inside???? was created by Delicia
I would like to go slowly from Miami to Marathon via the inside route. I am pretty sure I can get to Tarpon Bay at Key Largo inside - Is it possible to go all the way to Boot Key. The tide thru Feb 2016 seems to be 0 to +6" so not of much help. We a fairly lightly loaded - draft 4'10" I would guess.
Thanks for any help

We did this run last year, inside from Miami to Marathon. We had strong east winds, 25+ and sailed all the way. I do not recall any worries with depths and we simply followed the markers. I know ip40 Island Bound, Trish and Bill ran it this year as well.
Go for it. I see no problem.
Plus there are many great anchorages, pubs and stops along the way. I could see taking 3 4 or 5 days for this cause it so protected.
One item I did notice Noth of channel 5 is when running in sea grass beds, your depth guage reads the grass and it may say 3 4 feet but it's not. That's the only odd thing I ever found.
